At McCarty Family Farms we are continually evolving and pushing ourselves to do even more for our cows, our land and the people around us. We work with 3rd party experts to verify our farming and business practices because it is important to us to produce safe, high quality milk in a socially and environmentally responsible way. We hold some of the most stringent certifications available which validates our work and helps us identify ways we can continue to improve.
B Corp Certified
In December of 2020, McCarty Family Farms earned its B Corporation Certification. One of the first and few dairy farms in the world to achieve this status. As a Certified B Corp, we are publicly committed to uphold a purpose-driven business by balancing innovation and progress with profit. This stringent certification takes an in-depth look at how we do business, who we do business with and how we treat our people and planet.
DairyCARE Certified
McCarty Family Farms has been Validus Certified in Animal Welfare since 2012 and was the first dairy in the world to earn all four Validus certifications in 2017. Today all five farms, including MVP Dairy are DairyCARE Certified. Validus, a division of Where My Food Comes From is the leader in animal welfare auditing in the dairy industry, and its programs are regarded as the gold standard.
Quality Assurance
Recognizing that high quality milk and beef begins with excellent cow care, McCarty Family Farms uses technology, intensive record keeping and employee training on BQA principles. Beef Quality Assurance has been a vital piece of our training programs as part of our commitment to delivering safe and nutritious dairy and beef products.
